It is a great pleasure and honour to invite you to the 46th Nigerian Institute of Physics Conference, Rivers State University (RSU) PortHarcourt which will take place at the Rivers State University (RSU) Campus, River State, Nigeria from 12th - 16th May 2025. The event is organized by the Nigerian Institute of Physics.

With the theme "Physics in the quadruple helix model for innovative research towards national development", the conference will serve as a platform for international researchers, industries, and students to share the latest research findings related to physical sciences.

It promises to be a great platform for academicians, scientists, researchers, and graduate students to share their research experiences and participate in interactive discussions. You can expect a stimulating, fruitful and enjoyable time in Portharcourt, River State.

ABOUT NIGERIAN INSTITUTE OF PHYSICS (NIP)

The Nigerian Institute of Physics (NIP) was established in 1973 and is the professional association for all physicists in Nigeria. The 46th annual conference holds from May 12th - 16th 2025. The theme of this year's conference is “Physics in the quadruple helix model for innovative research towards national development"

The conference is an NIP's special purpose vehicle to keep Nigeria Physics Research capability at cutting edge, promote strategic thinking, and identity cooperation opportunities in fields of mutual interest between academia, industry and public sectors.

The goal of this year's conference is to foster collaborative innovation and interdisciplinary research in physics, leveraging the quadruple helix model to drive national development and sustainable growth, through the convergence of academia, industry, government, and community stakeholders.

ABOUT RIVERS STATE UNIVERSITY, NKPOLU-OROWORUKWO, PORTHARCOURT

The Rivers State University (RSU) PortHarcourt was established in October, 1980 from the Rivers State College of Science and Technology which was itself established in 1972. It is located at Nkpolu roworukwo in PortHarcourt, the capital of Rivers State, Nigeria.

Rivers State University is the first Technological University in Nigeria and the first state-Owned state University in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. .

The motto of the University is “Excellence and Creativity”.

The University has a staff strength of about 1800 and a student population of over 28,000. The language of instruction in the institution is English.
